Sawtoothed roof windows allow for natural light to be dissipated throughout the studio in a way that contours to Mr Doodle’s artistic process. Encapsulating a “physical veil of doodles” laser-cut into the metal siding of the studio, the new space has a revealing corner entrance that resembles the lifting of a stage curtain, lounge, and storage area. His new mission control will feature an expansion of the neo-Georgian home in which the artist currently resides. The 26-year-old’s public image is defined by his signature “spaghetti graffiti” outfits and an elaborate original myth wherein the artist has been working toward building a spaceship that will eventually transport him back to his native Doodeland after a long period of forced exile. Mr Doodle has been lighting up the art market lately after coming out of relative obscurity in 2019. He can improvise anywhere, with any objects being his canvas, including furniture, books, subways, clothing, and etc. Doodle often explains his work as “OCD – Obsessive Compulsive Drawing” twisting the traditional formation of graffiti and using his pens to fill every possible space on his canvas.
